Beach Hotel Domilocos also organises tours in the area, a mangrove tour in Sierpe and a sightseeing tour along the Whales Coast with a visit to the Tilapia farm El Pavon in Vergel, near to Ojochal.

Mangrove Tour in Sierpe:

Transportation from Dominical to Sierpe (1 hour and 15 minutes).

Aproximately 3 hours on the boat along the Sierpe River.

Sightseeing Tour along the Whales Coast:

From the hotel we go to the Posa Azul, a small waterfall near Dominical.

After the waterfall we go to the Restaurant La Parcela for coffee and a spectacular view.

From this restaurant we go to the Dominicalito Beach.

After sunbathing and swimming we leave to visit the Tilapia Farm El Pavon, catching our own Tilapia and having lunch. After lunch we go to the waterfall at the Tilapia Farm property for pictures and swimming.

The last thing on the list before heading back to the hotel is a visit to the La Talanguera Restaurant for a drink and a georgous ocean view.

The cost for this tour is $55 a person.

Designed in old-world charm and recently opened, Hotel Domilocos in Dominical Costa Rica is beautifully appointed with warm earth-tones utilizing rich carpeting, fine tiles, and soft curtain fabrics. How to get to Beach Hotel Domilocos

If you fly in on San Jose, you can take the bus or a taxi, or you can rent a car. A regular taxi from the airport to Dominical will cost something between $150 and $180. From the airport driving down South we would recommend the road via Athenas, Orotina, Jaco and Quepos to Dominical. With the road between Quepos and Dominical recently paved, it will take you 2,5 to 3,5 hours from the airport to Dominical. Don’t forget to stop at the river Tarcoles. Under the bridge you’ll find a bunch of crocodiles, up to 5 or 6 met..
