How to get to Beach Hotel Domilocos

If you fly in on San Jose, you can take the bus or a taxi, or you can rent a car. A regular taxi from the airport to Dominical will cost something between $150 and $180. From the airport driving down South we would recommend the road via Athenas, Orotina, Jaco and Quepos to Dominical. With the road between Quepos and Dominical recently paved, it will take you 2,5 to 3,5 hours from the airport to Dominical. Don’t forget to stop at the river Tarcoles. Under the bridge you’ll find a bunch of crocodiles, up to 5 or 6 meters. Quite impressive !!!

 

In the center of San Jose you can also take the bus called MUSOC. This bus will take you in three hours via Carthago and the Cerro de la Muerte to San Isidro. In San Isidro you’ll have to take the bus to Dominical (another 1,5 hours). Another option from San Isidro to Dominical is taking a taxi. This will take you 40 minutes and the cost is more or less $35.

 

You can also fly from San Jose to Quepos or Palmar Sur, and take a taxi or the bus to Dominical.

Hotel Domilocos is located close to the beach, only a few hundred meters from the Costanera, at the south end of the village, 100 meters south of restaurant El Coco, first road left.

 

Private Transportation

 

Instead of taking a taxi, you can use the private taxi service of Hotel Domilocos. We have a van available that can take up to a maximum of 6 people and luggage. To pick you up at the airport and to bring you to Dominical, we charge depending upon the number of people between $120 and $150 (in total).

It’s also possible to use our taxi service to go to Quepos / Manuel Antonio, Corcovado, Sierpe or any other interesting touristic spots. Just ask our staff about availability and rates.

 

Location in Dominical

 

Domilocos is located only a few hundred meters from the Costanera. After driving down into Dominical, take a left immediately (this is the main road of Dominical) and stay on this road until you see restaurant El Coco on your right. After another 150 meters along the beach, take the first road left. You’ll find Hotel Domilocos after 50 meters on your right.
